This section will describe how we process personal data when you are interacting with FCSA through either email, our company website www.farmerconnect.com or other channels of communication (e.g., chatbots or chat messengers).

We collect your personal data:

  • When you interact with our website, its forms or booking tool, request marketing material or sign up to receive our newsletter.

2.3. How will we use your data?

We will use your personal data:

  • To process and respond to requests, enquiries and complaints received from you, in accordance with our legitimate interest to provide our customers with a responsive service.
  • To provide services and products requested and/or purchased by you and to communicate with you about such services and/or products. We do this as necessary to carry out a contract with you and in accordance with our legitimate interest to operate our business.
  • To maintain our records and for audit purposes, in accordance with our legitimate interest to do so and/or when required by legislation.
  • To prevent or detect fraud and to establish, exercise or in defense of legal claims, in accordance with our legitimate interest to do so.
  • Where legally required or where it is in our legitimate interests to do so, to comply with requests from law enforcement and regulatory authorities.

2.4. Social Media Plugins

We have integrated social media plugins of various social networks on our website. These social media plugins may be for e.g., sharing content of the websites on social networks. You can recognize the social media plugins by the logos of the respective social networks.

To ensure data protection on our websites, we only use these plugins together with the so-called “Shariff” solution. This application prevents the plugins integrated on the websites from transmitting data to the respective provider the first time you enter the sites.

3.1. ThankMyFarmer TM

ThankMyFarmer™ (“TMF”) is operated by FCSA and is accessible through https://www.thankmyfarmer.com.

Basic Functionality:

  • To send you project updates or receipts via email

Informing our Partners:

  • TMF wants to allow consumers to participate in their supply chains. One of the ways we do this is by informing brands and project implementers of how users interact with their content (without sharing your personal data). When you click on, share, vote on, and support our pages and projects, you’re telling us what’s important to you, and what we should do more of.

3.2. ConnectHub

ConnectHub ("HUB") is operated by FCSA and accessible through https://hub.farmerconnect.com.

3.2.1. What data do we collect?

We collect the following personal data:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • User IDs
  • IP address

In addition to the actions described above in the general section (Section 2.2), we also collect personal data:

  • When you sign in and use our app
  • When you register new users to your organization

  • To log you in to our solutions

Important note regarding personal data & blockchain technologies:

It is against the FCSA Terms of Service for Clients to submit any personal data to the blockchain.

3.3. FarmerID

FarmerID (accessible through https://www.farmerid.com) is a service offered by FCSA for third parties to interact with their producers.

3.3.1. What data do we collect?

We collect the following personal data:

  • Phone number 
  • User IDs
  • IP address

3.3.2. How do we collect your data?

In addition to the actions described above in the general section (Section 2.2), we also collect personal data:

  • When you sign in and use our app

In addition to the use described above in the general section (Section 2.3), we will use your personal data as follows:

  • To log you in to our solutions
If any of your other personal data is processed within FarmerID, this occurs on behalf and under the control of a third-party (data controller). To exercise your data protection rights, please contact the data controller directly.

3.4. FieldConnect

FieldConnect (available in the Google Play Store) is a service offered by FCSA for third parties to interact with their producers.

3.4.1. What data do we collect?

We collect the following personal data:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • User IDs
  • Crash logs
  • Diagnostics

In addition to the actions described above in the general section (Section 2.2), we also collect personal data:

  • When you sign in and use our app

4. Marketing

You will not receive any marketing communications from FCSA unless you give your consent. If you have agreed to receive marketing communications, you may always opt out later by contacting support@farmerconnect.com or using the unsubscribe link in the email.

 

5. Data Protection Rights

What are your data protection rights?

FCSA would like to make sure you are fully aware of all your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:

  • The right to access: You have the right to request FCSA for copies of your personal data.
  • The right to rectification: You have the right to request that FCSA correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request FCSA to complete the information you believe is incomplete.
  • The right to erasure: You have the right to request that FCSA erase your personal data, under certain conditions.
  • The right to restrict processing: You have the right to request that FCSA restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
  • The right to object to processing: You have the right to object to FCSA’s processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
  • The right to data portability: You have the right to request that FCSA transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.
  • The right related to automated decision-making including profiling: You have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing (including profiling) which produces legal (or similarly significant) effects to you, under certain conditions.
  • The right to withdraw consent: If you have given your consent to anything FCSA does with your personal data, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.

If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you. If you would like to exercise any of these rights, please contact us via the means listed in Section 1.

  • The right to lodge a complaint: If you have a concern in relation to how we use your data, please let us know, and we will reply to your queries and if necessary, take steps to ensure our practices are consistent with our obligations. If you are still not satisfied with the way we use your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant national data protection authority.

7. Transfer of Personal Data to Third Countries

FCSA primarily stores data on Microsoft Azure (EU & US regions), as well as on other third-party service providers.

We will keep your personal data for as long as we need to for legitimate legal or business reasons, including to comply with any regulatory obligations. We will delete your personal data, when it is no longer required in relation to the purpose for our collection, processing, and storage of your personal data. We will store personal data that we are obliged to keep in accordance with the law.

9. Children's Privacy

We do not offer any products and/or services for children and this website is not intended or designed to collect personal data about children under the age of 13.
